DJ/Producer/Composer/Arranger: Michael Capitanelli
Michael Started his professional music career at the age of 16 playing drums for local bands in the New Jersey area. He moved to Florida where he studied business. At the same time he was signed to RCA Records as the drummer for recording group "Sawgrass". After graduating college with a degree in business he moved to California to study music at "Musicians Institute" in Hollywood California. In 1983 he attended the prestigious "Dick Grove School of Music" and studied Composing and Arranging under school founder Dick Grove. During this time Michael worked as a professional musician for bands such as The Coasters, The Drifters, The Sum Fun Band and as a musician for Princess Cruise Lines, Disneyland, Six Flags Theme Parks, and many local and touring acts.
After graduation Michael started an independent music label called "Raspberry Park Records" that produced and developed pop and rap artists, composed and recorded jingles for radio and television, produced karaoke tracks and soundtracks for aerobic videos,
In 1988, Michael along with his brother Ronnie started "California DJ", a disc jockey and entertainment company that books DJ's, Bands and Entertainer's for private events. Through the years Michael has performed and book entertainment for hotels and resorts including Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, Wyndham, Disney and KSL Resorts and for corporations such as IBM, Microsoft, Koch Industries, Century 21, California Board of Realtors, Google, Bebe, Samsung, Model Search of America, The Los Angeles Kings, Hershey Foods, Coca-Cola, Radio Shack, Pulte Homes, Smith Barney, Tarbell Realtors, Citigroup, Costco, Sams Club, World Com, Miss American Starlit Pageant, Miss Teen Usa Pageant, Ford Motor Corp,Toyota Motor Corp, California Highway Patrol,United Airlines, Kraft Foods, Vons, Albertsons, USC, UCLA, Kraft Nabisco Golf Tournament and The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic just to name a few.
Michael is also a top Wedding Disc Jockey in Southern California. His experience and well respected name lead him to record and produce his CD "The Perfect Wedding" which features music for weddings and is played at wedding ceremonies all around the country.
As a music producer Michael has also produced eight (8) Albums for his family's musical group and music ministry "The Caps". This is also how many of the songs from the new musical RadicaLove were born. He also produced the CD "Dare to Dance" for nationally known dance instructor Christy Lane which is the title CD for her School Assembly Program "Dare To Dance". and also the soundtrack for her Dare To Dance instructional video. In 2006 Michael along with his dad Arnold produced the soundtrack for the new musical "Radicalove" and is currently working on the soundtracks for three(3) more musicals. "Father Father" "Anna" and "Peace and Love! The Musical".
As a Theatre Producer. Michael in conjunction with Sunshine Productions produced the Musical "Dr. Sunshine" in 2007 and the musical "RadicaLove" in 2008 at the Annenberg Theatre in Palm Springs Ca. Michael is proud to be part of RadicaLove, its cast, crew and creative team, and proud of his dad the author who has spent a lifetime developing the music and ideas behind this great production.
